Learn how to sew a puff quilt in this introduction to quilting. A great sewing gift or beginner sewing project. Learn patchwork and basic quilting skills.
Do you want to learn how to make a puff quilt? Or do you fancy trying a new kind of patchwork? This is a great class to take if you want to try quilting but you are looking for a quick and easy option. This fast and simple method builds quilting with no need for extra quilting once your patchwork top is complete.
The puffs are super warm and cosy and can easily be adapted to different sizes.
The baby quilt we make in the class is made of 48 puffs and measures 30″ by 40″ but you could easily double or quadruple the number of puffs to make a much larger quilt.
To follow along with the lessons in this class you will need the following tools and materials (to make a larger quilt you should double or quadruple the quantities):
★ Approx 1 metre of cotton or polycotton fabric to back the puffs (this won’t be seen so can be a mixture of different fabrics)
★ Approx 1 metre of cotton fabric for the puff squares – use a mixture of different fabrics to create a patchwork look
★ Approx 1 metre of cotton, brushed cotton or fleece for the back of the quilt
★ Approx 2kg of polyester toy/hollow fibre stuffing (or the contents of 2-3 average sized cushion inners).
My quilt is finished and clashes beautifully with my bedroom decor lol. Im ready to be snugly when the snow comes. I SO enjoyed making it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just bought this and can’t wait to get started – the video looks so good, it really seems a very easy process even for a beginner like me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
