We always get so excited when a friend announces a new baby is on the way. Not only is it a wonderful thing, but we get a chance to make another new Puff Quilt! The perfect new baby gift!
So Nikki dived into our fabric stash and started cutting out the squares. All you need are some fat quarters for the top of the quilt, some cotton (of any kind) for the backing of the puffs, some toy stuffing and fabric for the back.
So, let us introduce you to this gorgeous new quilt for a very special baby. Our friend has her new baby (due at the end of October) and we can’t wait to gift it to her.

The fabric all came from our fat quarter stash. We we kept the theme playful but gender neutral as we don’t know the sex of the baby yet. I always prefer baby quilts that can be used for any sex of baby, blue definitely isn’t just for boys anymore! Plus how wonderful would it be if the baby kept the quilt and used it on their own children too. It would truly turn into a family heirloom. New Baby Puff Quilt being passed through the generations.
This is such a warm blanket for the baby. We have known them being used both in the crib and in the pram. It can also be used as a play mat too. The perfect New Baby Puff Quilt!

The Puff Quilt is a super quick project to make. Simply because you are doing your sewing and quilting at the same time!
Why not check out our Puff Quilt Class and see what you can make from your fabric stash? It can be a great scrap buster too ? We would love to see your quilts, so if you have made one please send us some pictures ?
