Who doesn’t love seeing the award ceremony gowns? We really look forward to the awards season every year. There is nothing better than looking through all the glamorous dresses and imagining ourselves wearing all the fabulous gowns down the red carpet!
It was hard but we have picked three of our favorite gowns each from The BAFTA’s and The Oscar’s to share with you.
Rachel loves this Celine dress worn and cape worn by Brie Larson at The Oscar’s. The subtle pink sparkle of the fabric is beautiful and the backless cape really makes the dress stand out.
Nikki has chosen this stunning black and gold Dior dress and cape worn by Natalie Portman. She chose to have the names of female directors embroidered onto the edge of her cape in protest of the lack of female nominees this year.
Rachel loved the shape of this amazing black gown by Dior worn by Charlize Theron. The structured one-shoulder dress had a high thigh slit and a long train and we love the shape of the bodice.
Nikki fell in love with this structured silver gown by Mac Duggal. It is worn by Sibley Scoles and looks just amazing on her. We love the high shine and texture of the fabric used on this gown.
Rachel picked this amazing dress by Jason Wu, worn by the fabulous Rebel Wilson. She is showing off her stunning figure and we both think she has never looked so beautiful.
Nikki chose this classic black gown by Siriano worn by Kelly Ripa. We love the combination of the one shoulder, the large ruffle, and the pleats. It feels like a modern-day Scarlet O’Hara gown!
On to the Bafta’s now and Rachel’s first pick is this Oscar de le Renta gown worn by Daisy Ridley. We love the dark teal of this pleated fabric and the simple sheer layer of fabric used as a cape, simple but stunning.
Nikki chose this stunning Prada gown wore by Renee Zellweger at this year’s Bafta’s. We love the crispness of the fabric and the color is just stunning. We love the column shape and the matching heels peeking out from under the dress.
Rachel picked this Givenchy dress worn by Rooney Mara at this year’s Bafta’s
We love the statement frill shoulders, sheer side panels, and the embellished skirt. Not only that, but it has pockets!
Charlize Theron has nailed it again with this Christian Dior gown! Again, we are seeing lots of pleated fabrics on the red carpet. Nikki just loves the color of this gown as well as the structured bodice. Simply stunning.
Rachel fell head over heels for this Saint Laurent gown worn by Zoe Kravitz. She looks like a real-life Oscar’s trophy on the red carpet! We love that she has teamed the dress with a red lip, nails, and earrings. Perfection!
Last but not least, is this stunning Ralph & Russo gown worn by Hannah John- Kamen at The Bafta’s 2020. Nikki loves the sheer outer layer of this gown with the little peek of a structured corset underneath. The fabric is a pleated midnight blue with a delicate sparkle which we would love to get our hands on!
We have both been really inspired by the fashion on show during this year’s awards ceremonies. The red carpet’s really has been spectacular!
